Welcome Back, Cottagers!

The loons are calling, the dock is creaking, and so is your laundry pile. Whether you’re doing it yourself or letting us handle the dirty work, here are a few seasonal laundry tips to make your summer start off fresh:

1. First Load of the Season? Wash Before You Wear.

Even if your clothes or linens were packed away clean, they’ve likely picked up a bit of cottage funk—dust, dampness, or that classic “attic chic” scent. Give everything a refresh (we recommend hot water for anything that can handle it).

2. Got Mystery Stains? Treat Before You Toss.

If you’ve just unearthed a set of sheets with an unexplained blotch, don’t panic—just ask us. We’ve seen it all. A quick pre-treatment might save that vintage Muskoka Lakes tee from the rag bin.

3. Campfire Smoke is Romantic. Until It’s Not.

That smoky smell clings to everything. A vinegar rinse or our extra-rinse cycle can help, or just bring it in—we’ll give it the full spa treatment.

4. Beach Towels: Sand, Meet Spin Cycle.

Please give towels a good shake outside before loading up a washer. Sand is our enemy—but we’re happy to help you battle it.

5. Sheets, Blankets, and Duvets—Oh My!

If your cottage doesn’t have a machine big enough to wash the bulky stuff, we do. And yes, we’ll even fold it for you. You bring the marshmallows, we’ll bring the fluff.

6. Mice Are Not Fashion Critics.

If your stored clothes or linens had unexpected visitors over the winter, don’t worry—we can help. We’ll wash, sanitize, and return everything fresh, clean, and ready for the season.

7. Your Time Is Precious. So Is Our Wash & Fold.

You’re up here to relax, not sort socks. Drop it off, go jump in the lake, and come back to neatly folded freshness.

8. Keep a “Cottage Laundry Kit”

Toss in a few mesh bags for delicates, a small bottle of your favourite detergent, and maybe a few dryer sheets or scent beads that make the whole car smell like a summer breeze on the ride home.

See you soon—and don’t worry, your laundry is safe with us. We treat it like our own (except maybe better folded).
